We are an Aveda concept salon and spa having one of the most experienced and professional staff in the area. We strive to give every client a personal and professional experience that will leave them feeling refreshed and looking great.
Our Team
Lauri-Ann Barkley
Owner / Senior Stylist
My name is Lauri-Ann and I am the Owner and Senior Stylist of Evergreen on Union. My salon and spa were created to bring relaxation, beauty and confidence to every client that walks through our door.
I began my career in 1985 and have lived here in Concord my entire life. I spent most of my career in Charlotte until I opened my first salon in Concord in 2016. From the beginning of my career I worked and trained with some of the best in the industry. My mentor was a former North American Hair Stylist of the Year and Global Master of the Arts. I am a certified Aveda Concept Stylist and have been using the Aveda products on my clients for over 15 years.
I strive to provide my clients with thoughtful, precise, long-lasting hairstyles while receiving an enjoyable, luxurious and educational experience.
Kristen Gibson
Senior Stylist / Lash Artist
My name is Kristen and I am a Senior Stylist and Lash Artist at Evergreen on Union. I began my career in 2006 and have lived in Concord for most of my life. I was trained by a former North American Hair Stylist of the Year and Global Master of the Arts.
I am a certified Nova Lash Artist and have been a certified Aveda Concept Stylist my entire career. I provide my clients with precision and creative cuts that are natural looking and easy to maintain. A color enthusiast to my core, I specialize in creative color and color corrections for clients of all ages.
Sandy Chamberlain
Artistic Director / Salon Educator
My name is Sandy and I am an Artistic Director and Salon Educator at Evergreen on Union. I began my career in the industry in 1995 and grew up in Concord.
Trained by a former North American Hair Stylist of the Year and Global Master of Arts, I have been a certified Aveda Concept Stylist my entire career. Not one to rest on my laurels, I continued to study under an Aveda Global Creative Director, attended Aveda’s Advanced Academy, and attended the Aveda Congress.
With thousands of hours of training and on-the-floor work under my belt I have honed my skills in organic, intuitive haircutting and coloring that provides my clients the confidence and beauty they deserve.
Jess Gibson
Esthetician
My name is Jess and I am a Master Esthetician and Makeup Artist at Evergreen on Union. I began my career in 2013 and grew up in Concord.
A graduate in Esthetics from the Aveda Institute, I am committed to providing the clinical knowledge, quality and innovation that highlights the Aveda philosophy. I am currently pursuing further education to focus on offering a full range of clinical skincare and beauty services.
My clients will be provided leading-edge services found nowhere else in the Concord Area.
John Boger
Stylist
My name is John and I am a Senior Stylist at Evergreen on Union. I began my career in the industry 17 years ago and have lived in the Concord area my entire life.
Working in some of the top salons in Charlotte, I have created a niche for providing trendy cuts and colors. Whether you’re looking for blunt bobs dyed dark or long rainbow locks with undercuts, I enjoy giving my clients the look that makes them feel absolutely fabulous. My expertise in working with dimensional colors, creates the type of style that can turn heads.
Heidi Moore
Receptionist
My name is Heidi and I am the receptionist at Evergreen on Union. I have worked for Evergreen for over 4 years and grew up in Concord.
It is my goal to welcome every client like you would welcome a friend into your home, in the warmest way possible. First impressions are extremely important for every business and at Evergreen on Union you will feel like family, because to us, you are family.

When it comes to hair, I would follow Lauri-Ann anywhere! Having been a hair model in NYC for many years with top stylists at first rate salons such as Bumble & Bumble and Minardi & Minardi, I know a thing or two when it comes to talented hair artists. Lauri-Ann is a consummate artist that can handle everything related to my hair needs equally well. Whether it be coloring, cutting, styling or recommending product, Lauri-Ann is second to none. My day to day life takes me from teaching dance classes with my hair pulled up in a clip to auditioning for on camera acting projects that require me to look my best. Even when I am feeling adventurous and wanting to sport a new hairdo, Lauri-Ann always keeps in mind my lifestyle and gives me exactly what I want and need! Fabulous, functional & fun…who could ask for anything more!
